Holley 58mm throttle body

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if the Holley 58mm throttle body is worth buying and makes a noticeable difference? I am planning to port and polish the intake plenum and siamese the SLP runners on my stock L98 to increase better airflow, trying to see if doing all this will help increase a little better top end and not lean out around 4,000 RPMs

Any thoughts and or suggestions will be much appreciated

Thanks

A stock 48mm TB flows over 750 CFM. The runners and porting is good. I'm wondering if the money would be better spent on the exhaust side.

Re: Holley 58mm throttle body

As the other person said there are better places to spend the money. A set of big tube aftermarket runners, and an aftermarket base and ported plenum will do wonders in making it pull up higher.

Cam would be high on the list to do as well but im not sure how crazy you want to go.

Re: Holley 58mm throttle body

I went into the 11's with the stock 48mm TB.

Spend your money elsewhere.

I didnt need a 58mm TB till I had alot of mods.

Re: Holley 58mm throttle body

x2 on what everyone is saying. also in order for a 58 MM to work and be able to reap the benefits you would have to do some port work
