loud rattling?

so it doesn't rattle when its cold just gradually gets a bit louder as it gets hotter..

also, the idle is really rough but gets a little less rough as it warms up..

stumbles on sharp accel..

what could be doing all this??

Have you done anything to the exhaust? I've seen some y-pipes that hit the lower fender bolt and cause knocking.

This is really hard to troubleshoot over a message board but first thing to do is jack up the car. Put floor stands under it for safety. Crawl under the car and look around and see if the pipes are close to anything. If you don't find anything that way then, with the exhaust cold, grab the exhaust and shake it. I also found a rattle buy tapping the y-pipe with a rubber mallet. I had a bad clamp on the crossover pipe.

Good luck

Re: loud rattling?

I've got a rattle in my converter at idle. Can you describe the rattle that you have and approximately where it's coming from? Does it get louder with speed? I think we need a little more info to try to help you locate the problem.

Re: loud rattling?

Check for a vacuum leak. A split hose will sometime do that.

Re: loud rattling?

I agree with above. Also you say almost new everything, did you clean out the passage for the IAC (idle air control) when you were working on the throttle body? I've seen build up on throttle bodies do similar things as well.
