350 TPI Porting and engine rebuild information

I have a L98 350 TPI in my stock 91 camaro z28. It has 153,000 miles on it and I plan to rebuilt the out side of the motor.

No, I will not do the LS swap. I do not was the LS right now. I do not care about opinion here I need to know the facts on if it can be done what what are the pros and cons?

I have the holly 58mm throttle body and I have the runners I plan on porting out the penlum runners and Edelbrock 3817 base place for Vortec heads all to 58mm to take the air flow the throttle body delivers.

My questions on this are, Is it possible to port them to 58mm or not? What's the max I can port them to and whats the max gain in HP will I get with just the throttle body down to the base place ported to 58mm if possible? I will be adding the Edelbrock 60989 E-tec 200 to the block to fit the vortec base place. These 60989 vortec heads will fit my stock l98 block correct?

I do not plan to touch the stuff in the block just the cam and lifters and timing chain but not the pistons or anything. then I plan to add a bigger oil pan and high flow oil pump.

To sum it up I just was a fun stock camaro with nice power in the 300-400 range with out blowing the block or anything inside and with out blowing anything else. Please help me out with the answers. THANK YOU guys.

I missed what brand runners if they are stock you cant port them
Your stock tb is plenty for that motor you stand nothing to gain with the larger TB
You wont gain a ton of hp but at WOT youll notice something torque should pick up provided you do a nice port job

They were edelbrock 3870's I did some research and found out a ported edeldrock tpi intake from the throttle to the base plate and it does not improve much on the dyno stock. It was barely a moved. The HP just went up to 260-265 ish and 350 tq. check it out: http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28...MRwebpage.html I have decided to order a mini ram from tpis.com that will up the stock hp but lower the stock tq it will balance out to about 303hp and 302 tq at 6000rpm there kits have a 6000-7200 rpm range or something like that.

For the money I will spend to get results the mini ram is my way to go Thank you for the help though.
