Fuel Pump Problem Again?

Hi Guys, I have my car stored in an unheated garage for the Winter. I have a trickle charger on the battery and Sta-Bil and Strartron in the gas tank. I've been starting it up about once a month and she always had started immediately and idles fine with no problems whatsoever. Well, Saturday I started her up and she ran just fine for 10-15 minutes, but then just completely shut down, and just barely began to run for a few seconds when I turned the ignition over again and that was it. I had the orginal fuel pump replaced by a reputable garage in October 2009, and I noticed that now when I turn the key on I dont hear the fuel pump hum for a couple seconds as I always had. Do you guys think I have another fuel pump issue or is there anything else I should check? All fuses were fine. I went back to the garage that replaced the pump and the service manager said he found it hard to believe I could have a fuel pump go bad so soon with so few miles on the car, and that while it was out of warranty they would "work with me" but if it did turn out to be the fuel pump it would likely be $500. So needless to say any suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Fuel Pump Problem Again?

it could be a filter clogged as well but as for the pump it is quite possible for the pump to go bad mine was replaced in April of last year and July of last year had to be replaced again due to the pump becoming clogged so I would definitely check into the pump possibly being clogged as well but it definitely sounds like its a fuel related issue

Thanks for your input and happy holidays. Had it happened a month earlier, a new fuel pump would have quite possibly been on my Christmas list, but you'll have that.
