I will have someone floor it and butterflys donot open all the way. With it floored can open throttle about a quarter inch more. Is there any adjustment or do I need to buy a new cable? Thanks in advance guys and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYBODY AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It would be good to remove all the floor mats, make sure the pedal can reach the floor, and re-verify the final full-open position.

You may need to check the length of the cable and the amount of slack in the assembly. If the inner cable has excessive slack at the closed throttle position you can either stake on additional thimbles to take up the slack at the interior end, or you can slightly bend the accelerator pedal arm to take up the slack. Chances are that the cable has stretched some over the years, and bending the pedal arm would be the last resort unless it appears to have been damaged or distorted already.

Be aware that if you alter the throttle cable length there may be a slight adjustment required to get the TV valve cable set correctly if you have an auto trans.

 

Figured it out guys. Started inspecting it the spring under the pedal came loose not allowing pedal to travel all the wat down.

 

Gotta like the easy ones.
