Bolt Ons and LT1 Cam
I was look at the suggested mods for TPI engines under the tech articles. My plan was to put full bolt ons (headers, y pipe, already have cat-back, airfoil, already have cap and rotor kit and spark plugs, going to upgrade wires, coil, and msd ignition box). put new springs and valve seals in the heads plus 1.6 rocker arms, and an LT1 cam, fuel injectors, new fuel pressure regulator, tps sensor and iac valve, underdrive pulleys. How much of an improvement will I see? Am I missing anything? I have already found all the parts I need from searching through TGO. Will I need to burn a new chip to support all of this or will I be fine with a stock one? Just kind of weighing my options between building a motor and building an ar 15.
Here is everything done to the motor so far (88 LB9):
Accel cap and rotor kit, bosch spark plugs, K&N air filter, new fuel filter, cat back, all the free basic mods, descreened mas air flow sensor, 180 degree thermostat

Also what is a good recommended shift kit? How is the b&m one? How hard are they to install?

And finally, I have a peg leg rear end. What do I need to change to a posi? Just the differential? Or do I need the axles, and the ring and pinion gears?

You probably should get a custom chip anyway, you have a 180 thermostat now but your fan still won't come on til the factory 226 degrees anyways.

It's easy, locate your ECM under passenger side kick panel, remove the two ECM screws and pull out ECM . Then you just remove the ECM cover and chip is right there. Removing chip is like removing a stick of ram from a pc

Well found a cam on here for 50 dollars shipped, so I guess I'm going to go ahead and do the swap. Just going to order the springs, rocker arms, head gasket kit, and timing chain and gear set for now, then I'll slowly order the other stuff as I have money
