my car will run only if i push on the gas, 12v to red wire on the relay, nothing on all the others, i tried jumping it under the dash and no fuel pump sound but i can hear it prime when i turn the key on though, and thoughts please

 

Have you bypassed the oil pressure switch ?

 

yes sir, good fuse and 12v (the one by the battery)

 

no the oil pressure switch is brand new and reads on the cluster correctly

 

jumper the switch grey wire to orange wire the pump should come on.

 

i did and it works fine now, the terminal was very loose, thank you for your input, i appreaciate it

now the SES light flashes and wont stay running at an idle, i jumped the fuel pump relay and the pump stays on but the light flashes and wants to kill it.

 

if i pull all fuses the light still flashes until i pull the eng/control fuse then everything shuts off, i think its a wire not connected but i dont know which wire to trace down, i have the 3000 page manual but its kinda hard to understand some of it

 

the grey wire would read 12v after car was off for 10 sec and turned on for 2 sec but dropped quickly, i cant find if its supposed to stay at 12v or if is supposed to drop to 0v

 

i have about 5k under the hood replacing almost everything (stock) the harness, tps, ect, and O2 sensors are the last things left to be compeletly new

 

I replaced my IAC with an AC Delco unit recently. Worked.

 

my IAC only has 2-3k miles on it

 

What code does the ecm have stored ?

the SES light flickers, i cant get a code

 

no communication with the ecm indicates the memcal in not seated correctly or is bad or the ecm is faulty.

 

ill check it, the ecm was just replaced

 

sounds like the car is in limp home mode

 

does the ecm have a ground wire by where it mounts

 

my buddy is going to bring me a power probe so i can back probe the ecm wires

 

the ecm grounds are behind the passinger cylinder head.

 

those 2 wires cost me 2k last time and 6 months lol i couldnt find the problem after replacing everything and it was those 2 wires cut in half, i fixed and it ran perfect. so i look at those 2 wires 1st when i have a problem lol

 

it has to do with the ecm, i dont know what else would make the ses light flicker

 

i know the vacuum leak code pops, 32, so the light stays on when its cold til i open the throttle all the way then the code would shut off til the motor sat and got cold. Now when its running the light stays on, car runs fine, then the ses light will flash or shut off and the car drops in idle or dies right with the light

 

its an intermittent problem, it wont let the car start or run on its own, i have to give it gas to start and stay running. thats when the light will be flashing irregular

 

did you ever fix the problem? im having a similar problem with mine aswell
