Quick spark plug question
I believe the oem spark plug reach is .460" however, do i absolutely have to run that plug reach? its stock L98 heads on a 355 cid with flat top piston i think 10.5:1 compression ratio.

Re: Quick spark plug question
A shorter reach won't extend into the chamber and the charge will take longer to burn. A difference of .085" probably isn't the end of the world, though.A longer reach will extend too far into the chamber where the piston face might hit it, and when the exposed threads foul with carbon removing the plug could be difficult without damaging the threads in the head.

Re: Quick spark plug question
that makes sense. Could anyone reccommend a good shorty spark plug with .460" in. thread reach? or should i just try another type of shorty accel plug?
