TPI car-CARB engine
My new project(89GTA) came with factory 5.7 MPFI and I am trying to decide which way to go with this build. I have the built 350 in my 82Z and have decided to use it as my donor parts car. The Z is really rough but lots of new stuff and this GTA is REALLY nice as far as body and interior goes. The guy gave me a complete 305 he was going to try to put in it and the original injection system and the computer is intact...here's the question. I am trying to decide if it will be easier to adapt the GTA to a carb or switch my 350 to injection(my 350 is out of a 69 Camaro and am pretty sure the FI won't fit right) All the computer control stuff is what bothers me and some fuel deliverer issues will need to be addressed as well if I go carb. I have a resistor key but could swap out Camaro lock if stay carb. Thoughts? Major concerns, pro or con for one over another? Thanks

Re: TPI car-CARB engine
You install a 350 chip in the stock '89 computer and a 350 knock sensor
Depending on the engine mods you may need a custom tune
The cam ( how lumpy ?) you have in the carb motor is the only thing that may cause a problem with EFI

Your carb motor will slip straight in under the 305 TPI intake
