Which injectors to buy?

Hi Group it has been a long time since I have been on here. I need to replace my injectors on my 1989 Formula 5.7. Even though the car has only 44,000 original miles with some mods I was told the electronics went bad in them. I plan on selling the car so was wondering if the GB remanufactured ones would be okay. Thank you for any help and will put car in For Sale Section soon.
Raymond

+1 on the Bosch III injectors. I put them on my Formula 350 and I'm happy with them.

Re: Which injectors to buy?

whats GB?

I just installed Bosch 3's, rebuilt from FIC. Southbay is great too. Either way, if you have the oem multecs, 1989 was a bad year for them (they arent ethanol tolerant). New injectors should make you smile.

Re: Which injectors to buy?

GB is a brand that sells remanufactured injectors. Original injectors in car hard to believe with only 44,0000 original miles the electronics went bad.

Re: Which injectors to buy?

The stock Multecs coil windings are cooled bye fuel. The coating on the windings are effected with the ethanol and causes the coil windings to short out and may shut off your injector driver in the ecm and stop all injector pulse. Throw them in the garbage

Re: Which injectors to buy?

I just put the Bosch 3's in my 89 305. Car was only running on 7 cylinders, found out #1 wasn't firing. Switched injector plugs and it was plug dependent not injector. Figured I had a bad injector connector, got the noid light out and it tested fine. Turns out the contacts on the connector were not making a good connection to the injector prongs. bent the contacts inside the connector and all good. heads up for you guys
Car runs smooth and strong now.

Re: Which injectors to buy?

I just received my Bosch 3's from South Bay Saturday. Put 'em in last night, but haven't started it yet due to the transmission being apart. I'm hoping for an 8 cylinder ride this time... LOL

South Bay shipped mine fast too, so that was a plus.
