Intake Air Sensor
Hey guys,
I plan to relocate the IAT sensor from the plenum to the air filter cover. I'd like to use one of the sensors that has the plastic birdcage looking structure around the sensor itself, but cannot find one available locally, only a slightly lesser expensive sensor with the plastic birdcage. Does it make any difference at all or will they perform the same way...
For reference:
BWD Air Charge Temperature Sensor
With birdcage:

Re: Intake Air Sensor
This is a wasted effort unless you are trying to disable your egr function.

Re: Intake Air Sensor
on tpi maf the iat controls the egr and air pump, on speed density it will effect fueling changing the mat to a iat and you would need to recalibrate the tables accordingly. The thermistor will reed alot cooler in the air stream and may not allow the egr to be enabled.
