I have a set of afr 180cc heads that I had on my 355 tpi car and I am just curious what they would be worth. The heads are 3 years old and have about 30,000 miles on them. If the prevailing opinion is that they arent worth much I will just keep em. So if you have an idea or just want to let me know what you think hit me with it!

You don't say if they are as cast, five axis ported, etc. Not sure if AFR started to port all their heads at that time. I would say from $800 to $1000.

 

Sorry for the lack of info! Yes they were done on the 5 axis cnc really the most beautiful machine work I had ever seen! They are aluminum. I believe the part #was 918 but not sure I do know they are AFR's version of the L98 heads which are fifty state legal.

 

Yes I will be looking to sell if the price is right. I was just trying to get an idea of what they would be worth. They are used and I know what i paid for them new just can't find any info on used ones. I guess people don't really get rid of their AFR heads but I will.

 

What you paid for them is irrelevant to what you can sell them for. 30,000 miles means the springs should be changed and the valve seats freshened up at a minimum.

 

Umm yeah I'm pretty sure I said I was looking to find out what they would be worth used! I fully understand that the cost new is irrelevant compared to the used value but thanks for pointing that out!

 

If you can get anywhere near half what you paid youre doing really good.
