52 or 58 mm TB - Worth It?

This is what i currently have on this car. Note that the items in bold print are of pertainance to my question:

Stock L98, Scat Rods, KB Hyprtctc Pistons, Fluidampr, Cloyes Double Roller Timing, Edelbrock Vortec Lower Intake, Fast Burn Vortec Heads, Jegs 1.5 Roller Rockers, ZZ4 Cam, AS&M Large Tube Runners, Stock TB w/ Air Foil, Hypertech Cap/Rotor/Coil (black), MSD Wires (black), Accel 24 lb/hr Injectors, Walbro 255, Spectre Heated O2 Sensor, Ed Wright Chip, Dyno Don Headers & ORYP, Hooker Cat-Back w/ Monza Double Dual Tips, TA Performance Diff Cover, Alston SFCs, UMI Torque Arm, Hotchkis LCAs, KYB Shocks (black), one coil cut off front springs, TransGo 2, Corvette Servo. Hawks Fiberglass Aerowing, Window Tint,

new: SLP CAI, SSBC 1LE Brakes, Global West Wonderbar
on appointment: Dyno Tune/Custom Chip @ Blood Enterprises Auburn, WA

my question: would switching to an aftermarket (BBK) 52 or 58 mm Throttle body be worth the money and energy? if so, then based on my combination, should i go with a 52 or 58 mm? if i'm gonna do it, i want to do it before i take the car in to have the chip burned.

thanks.

probably not. I don't see anything in your mods list that makes me think that your air flow requirements exceed the capabilities of the stock throttle body. That said, I liked having the bigger throttle body on my Corvette. Although the WOT performance was unchanged, the extra airflow at part throttle made it "feel" more responsive, and I enjoyed that.

Not worth it. this subject has been beat to death. 48mm is more than enough.

What's wrong with Fox Bodies? I think stock should be fine as well, but a bigger one with feel more responsive.

I put a 58mm BBK TB on my stock 91 Formula. It was more responsive, it felt better than the stock & didnt hesitate. Also it was free from my parts car :-)

Just out of curiosity...what rear end gear are you running and what is your current 1/4 mile time?
