bolt on HP?

how much power do you think would come out of a rebuilt 350 tpi at 10:1 compression, new cam and some slp intake runners?

or any other bolt ons for power. it'll be too expensive to bore out the motor to 355 and rebuild it as that so we're probably going with just a 350 (as long as the cylinder walls are within tolerance) and once the bottom end is built, its gonna get the original heads again probably and then some bolt ons. looking for recommendations and how much power you think.......kinda wanting to be around 350hp

I looked at your thread, so how much hp did you wind up running at the end? So far im thinking the crane 2032 cam (unless theres a better cam for it), edlebrock intake runners, maybe an electric water pump, underdrive pullies? but i'll transfer over my hooker shorty headers to the 350 fromthe 305. I was also going to port and polish the intake manifold and the plenum. Any other ideas? i'm trying to do cheap-ish bolt on stuff.

what about the fuel injectors? i think i had to replace 2 or 3 last time i had to to the intake manifold so i still have a stockers. stock poundage though?

Oh! and doing a chip too for it. and isnt there somewhere to get a new prom written for the computer too?

Re: bolt on HP?

My final numbers are 254HP and 360 TQ At the rear wheels. Figure abour 18% drivetrain loss and you get close to the flywheel numbers. Original Stock injectors. I had TPIS do the chip for me as it was their intake and runners I used. That's 40 Rear wheel HP gain and a 70 rear wheel TQ gain.

With the limited budget you appear to be working to for your build you won't need bigger injectors
Just get a memcal for the same year 350 engine and a 350 TPI knock sensor to replace your 305 unit

coil from the 305 is stock, and the original. I was considering msd coil, distributor, cap/rotor and the high flow plug wires. this is gonna be a project which will take me until next fall i think so i'm willing to put a few bucks into it.....just not making it a race motor.
