Valve cover bolts

So I got a set of factory torx valve cover bolts from another member on the board...

However, when I went to install them, they bottomed out with a good amount of space left between the head and the valve cover. When I compared them to the the ARP bolts that were in there, I noticed that the factory ones are a smidge longer. These aren't factory heads, they are Sportsman IIs.

Any ideas?

Would appear the threaded bosses in the SP I heads are at a diferent height to the stock ones ?

Re: Valve cover bolts

I'm using Felpro gaskets with a bit of RTV.
