Add 5th gen maf into 3rd

I see the newer 5th gen all use maf but I think they have readouts in ohms. Ours are voltage. But it is much simpler and reliable setup like sd.

Why can't we use this assuming it takes 5 or 12v signal and just calibrated 0-255 in hex to the size intake and convert the drop in resistance to temp to cfm and scale it to the same maf input

Really any sensor that will read velocity pressure in volts output would work

Anyone try it? They are much cheaper. And readily available and unlike the sd mod I think u just reuse the existing wire harness for the maf since it has 12v for power and 5v input for signal and ground?

And to even calibrate further u could use the iat to further dial in the flow rate

A modern digital MAF could be made to work, but would require use of a translator. This adds extra cost and complexity and at least some loss of signal quality in the conversion process. I prefer an analog MAF in this application since it is a simpler and cleaner solution. Programming changes are required for either method.

Obd2 swaps can allow that. Cost me under $1000 to do it. I use the maf from a 2001 Silverado. Look up 411 pcm swap
