Re: external fuel pump for TPI
I can't recommend an external high pressure pump...but have to ask a few things
Is your in tank pump dead?
If so...pretty sure it's a positive displacement pump...can an external pump draw through it?
If so, please don't relie on barbed fittings and hose clamps, cut/double invert flare, and make good solid connections with your new pump...you only want to do this once...I can't see running a 60+ PSI pump spliced with rubber fuel lines and hose clamped to a cut steel line..being very reliable.
But back to my first point...if we can't suck though the original pump and it has to be removed and modify the pump insert...may as just as well put in another in tank pump that will last another 20+ years
