Hey all,I tried a search but found nothing specific to my question...I have an 85 Iroc I picked up and runs and drives just fine but noticed that f/p is constantly running when key is turned on..it doesn't prime and shut off like every other tpi car I have had in the past..I tried sorting through it yesterday but I am clueless here...on the firewall next to brake booster there is only 1 relay..not the 3 that I am used to seeing.I am guessing this is the maf burn off relay?
My question is...is it normal for an 85 to have the pump running constantly? And if not,where the heck is the relay for an 85?

 

you are supposed to have the three there i do believe. they may be laying around somewhere up there out of their brackets. you are describing a stuck fuel pump relay though

 

I will look again but not sure..I see there are holes in the bracket for the other 2 relays but didn't see wires for them anywhere..

 

85 TPI doesn't have a burn off relay , it has a burnoff module under the dash


A PO may have hot wired the pump direct to the Ign ?
