what cam do I have?

OK I know its already been asked but what kind of cam do I have I'm my 1986 Trans am WS6.305 tpi... The reason I'm asking is because my brother has a 92 formula with a 305 TBI and he did research on his and thought he had a hydraulic Flatt tappet cam but I guess apparently when he went to make the swap he found out that it was not that... I just want to really be sure...

Please only the people who really know respond I do not want to be misguided.

Thank you friends

Re: what cam do I have?

I'm guessing you're asking if it's hyd. flat tappet or hyd. roller? If your 86 is the original motor it is flat tappet. Over 28 years it could have been changed so I won't give you any promises.

The CAM should be a flat tappet with these spec's:
Lift-.350/.385 Dur @.50 178/195 Lob Sep 109

Called a peanut cam 190HP & 285 #ft/tq
