pcv question

On the driver side is the pcv... Was thinking of putting a breather in place of the oil cap... But I saw on the passenger side its not a pcv but is connected to the intake... What does it do or could I put a breather on that side too...

Re: pcv question

You can cap the throttlebody port and use a vented breather. The passenger side pcv hose allows filtered air to enter into the crankcase.

OK so I can actually remove the pcv valve and cap the port which is actually in the lower plenume... leave the oil cap on and I will be golden correct..... Is what I was thinking and please correct me if I'm wrong but the pcv valve I need to leave because it sucks the crap out... Just wish it wouldnt go back into the engine because its contaminant crap but I need to leave the passenger side one in because it shoves fresh clean air into it so I was thinking just do the oil cap because I can relieve pressure but I'm still having proper clean air go in and it sucking out through the pcv valve but have more pressure relief through the valve cover breather.
I thank you all for all the help

Re: pcv question

You should leave the pcv valve in the drivers side valve cover hooked up. If your going to install a push in breather, install it into the grommet on the passenger side vale cover.

You can, but...you'll be wiping oil stains/smears off the cover in no time.

To the OP...there is NO, none, zip, performance gain in what you want to do.
