1992 TPI Formula 350 new fuel pump will not come on anymore
I dont know much about these forums, but am looking for some HELP!!!
1992 formula 350, 61,000 miles....I bought and restored the outside of the car (black) and then before I could even get it licensed the fuel pump failed...put in a new one and it started once, and then never again. It ran like a raped ape the little I had driven it around before the new one. I have replaced the relay, Oil pressure sending unit, Ecm {that didnt fix anything so I took the new one back) and The starter is sticky so I am about to replace that...somewhat unrelated to the pump, other than the ground wire which is all I am left with, maybe grounds? This is so frustrating, any help would be appreciated...maybe a car for sale soon, lol...too many other irons in the fire for this.

So when you turn the key you do not hear the pump prime? You get no fuel pressure?

Nope, the pump doesn't come on with the key. Only when you use the factory jumper wire and run it to the battery.

If you jump it, then the pump is okay...
Did you check the fuse up by the battery? If good, possibly FP relay

Yes, 20 amp disable link by the battery is good. And I've put in a new relay twice just in case and it didn't change a thing.

There is also a regular fuse up by the battery. On the core support between the radiator and battery. It has a black plastic cover

OK, I thought you ment you checked the fusible link.
You need the factory service manual.

I just bought the service manual. I called the core support fuse a fusable link because that's just how I viewed it. Honestly, I paint cars and do body work...this is just not my field, the electrical gremlins are nightmares and I know it. I think I could be the security with the ignition key too.

Ended up being a corroded and broke power wire from the relay and going through the main harness down behind the engine over the bellhousing. But now I need to figure out where to find a fuel line from the filter forward. This car is really getting on my nerves.
