So because I can't find a set of the old AFR 190 heads for the 305, I'm ready to pull the triggers on these babies:

I like them because they are center bolt, have the accessory bolt holes, are 50-state legal with a C.A.R.B. # (yes I'm in CA), etc. Basically because they are a direct replacement.

That said, I am going to be running a custom cam and a ProCharger. So.....are there any other heads I should consider which would be better or are these it right now?

 

They look like a good set of heads for a 305. The only thing I would consider if your going with a pro charger is methanol injection to safely run higher boost numbers. These heads have 56cc combustion chambers vs the factory's 58cc which would bump the CR over the factory 9:5 to 1. I would personally want the CR at 9:0 - 8:5 to 1 for a boosted application even though you could get away with something higher.

 

i was going to suggest those 175 trick flows or i have heard gm fastburn heads with work
