87 Octane?

So I accidentally put 13ish gallons of 87 octane into my 1991 L98. It's supposed to take premium fuel only. Should I just burn it off, or will I foul the engine and/or cause knocking?

I purchased some octane booster, but I should have added it to the tank BEFORE filling it up (so it mixes well, I guess). The other thing is that the octane booster doesn't give me a formula of how much I should add to the tank to achieve my desired octane rating. It just says "treats up to XX gallons."

You may get a little ping if your setup is made to run premium only. Your knock sensor should take away most of it. I would personally just burn it off

I agree, just burn it off. Car's made to run on premium will run on the cheaper stuff, they just aren't as happy about doing it. A bottle of 104 octane boost would help.

Really...Did I just read that? Just drive the car and don't worry about it. If you would of put Diesel in it, you'd have a problem.

Drive it like you stole it. The ECM willl adjust to the octane.

Burn it off, if it really bothers you toss a bottle of octane booster in it
