92 z28 negative battery cable
hello everyone i just bought a 92 z28 5.7 other day i noticed that the negative battery cable is bolted to one of exhaust manifold bolts is that where orginal spot for it??, ive done search and cant seem to find the right location? can anyone point me to the right location a pic will be more helpful.. thanks much appreciated

No. Not correct. Not sure on camaros but the 88-92 birds have it mounted to the lower serp bracket bolt on the dr side.

On my 91 TPI it's connected to a bolt on the front of the passenger side cylinder head.

thanks for the replies, however can anyone else confirm this please . i dont like the fact that the negative battery cable is bolted to the exhaust manifold .thanks

I can't get a camera down in there to snap a shot...but on the later Camaros with the battery on the passenger side, the negative cable most definitely is attached with a bolt to the front lower corner of the passenger side cylinder head.
I rebuilt my engine over the summer and tagged all the wires so I'd know where everything goes back. So unless somebody moved the cable before I owned the car then it's on the passenger head. Regardless of where it's mounted, as long as it has a good ground to the block you are fine. If the heat from the exhaust manifold is a concern then by all means move it.

I did find the bolt hole where the negative cable bolts too, now i gotta figure out the size of the bolt, im going to make a trip to the junkyard. Thanks for the replies
