305 tpi hesitates bad

Hey third gen I finally got my 92 firebird formula 305 tpi running strong just needs fine tuning now. It seems to run great until you accelerate and it hesitates and dosnt take off like it should, feels like it's holding back. I was thinking bad tps. I had checked the voltage and it was way out of whack. Possible fuel supply since it is fine at low speeds. Any help is appreciated thank you, Bryce.

is your CEL on? have you checked your codes? do you have the proper relays in the right connectors? is your car MAF or SD? have you got a clean fuel filter? have you checked the fuel pressure?

The lights that are on are check engine soon and infl. Rest those were on for the old motor which was a 350 tpi now a 305 tpi with really low miles I have ran codes and I don't remember all of them but it had low vacuum for the map sensor. Fuel filter is brand new. Yes all connectors are in the correct places. I have not checked fuel pressure. Also the car has a slight up and down idle which all of these sound like a bad tps.

If you have gone back with 19#hr injectors and the correct calibration AXXB ect...
Start bye reading your codes. The map vacuum signal should not be shared with anything else.

Re: 305 tpi hesitates bad

The injectors and fuel rail are the 305, should I try a tps? Also if I do get a tps would I get it for the 92 since that's the year of the car or would I get it for the Yeats of the motor which is I believe a 89?

Re: 305 tpi hesitates bad

your tps maybe adjustable but yournot going to solve your lean condition without the proper injectors, calibrator.

The tps is not ajustable if I do replace it would I get a new one for a 92 firebird or an 89 firebird the motor in it now is an 89 but the intake is off the 92 and how would I solve the lean fuel?

Re: 305 tpi hesitates bad

You can elongated the holes on the tps or get one for a 90-92 tuned port injection. bye adding feedback voltage fuel will be added. But I will still complete the swap contact member souhthbay08 for Bosch 3 19#hr injectors.

Re: 305 tpi hesitates bad

The injectors are from the new 305 so they are good. I know you said a 90-92 tps but since the engine is a 89 would you get that year?
