Edelbrock TES y-pipe?
I picked up a set of Edelbrock TES headers the other day for really cheap. I know Edelbrock doesn't make headers anymore, but is there another y-pipe that can be used for these? Will they bolt to the stock y-pipe? Is my best bet just to get a custom y-pipe made?
Re: Edelbrock TES y-pipe?
Your in luck I have a Y pipe for the edelbrock shorty headers like new just need one of the rings for the d.side i believe.
I had a custom one and the original one the guy that bought them took the custom since it was made for true duals.

Re: Edelbrock TES y-pipe?
The eddy y-pipe design was crud where the two pipes combined.
The metal was very poor quality and usually rusted and pitted quickly.
Dons look much much better than the original design IMO.

Re: Edelbrock TES y-pipe?
I have a 1989 Firebird 5.7 with a set of shorty Edelbrock's, identified only by an Edelbrock metal id tag riveted to the top of the #2 tube along side the valve cover. I need to replace my y-pipe but am not positive it is the same as Dyno Don's. Looks real close, i.e 2 bolt flanges and 3 inch at the y. Mine uses 2.5 inch gaskets. Inlet pipe on the driver side of mine does not appear to have quite the same angle as the one in the picture above though. Could be misjudging it... ?

Edit: It looks like per this thread - https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...k-65930-a.html , it is built specifically for the Edelbrock headers with single cat outlet.
