Tpi throttle body

Hey guys. I'm Looking at aftermarket throttle bodies. My stock 48mm is a little sticky off idle sometimes. I've done enough mods to justify going with a 52mm setup. I like the price on the summit racing TPI throttle body, but can't find much on here about them.
(I may have missed some good posts, I apologize if I did) Anyone using one of them? How do you like it? Should I spend a bit more and go with a Holley? Thanks for any input/opinions!

Re: Tpi throttle body

Check aftermarket product review. I wouldn't get one personally because they really don't do much at all. I would disassemble it and clean it with carb cleaner, buy a gasket set for it and rebuild it. Good as new.

Get the BBK one or don't bother. The summit, professional products, Chinese crap isn't worth it. I bought a brand new PP throttle body and it was junk. Thankfully summit took it back.

BBK and Holley both make great products. Summit is probably crap. Never had one personally. You might have some luck just polishing and porting the inside of the throttle body. Obviously don't sand/ port around the flaps, but polish really well.

Re: Tpi throttle body

Thanks for the replies! I have been doing a little research and talked to a few people and ended up ordering a BBK 52mm unit today.

I ordered it from them directly, they were very cool, and gave me a great deal! We'll see how it turns out.
thanks again
