Car dies when driving

Hi,

My friend and I just finished my engine swap in my 1986 Camaro. We swapped the 2.8 Maf to a 355 tpi with speed density. I went out on my first drive to the gas station and back. About halfway back it died coming to a stop at a light and wouldn't start after like a dead battery. I jumped it and hauled *** home and put the battery on a charger but the voltmeter said it was 12.6 volts. I charged the battery and took it to advance auto parts and they said it was fine. I put it back in my car and checked the voltage and it was staying steady at 12.8 volts. I started the car and checked the voltage when it was running and it was staying at 14.3 volts. Any idea what's going on?

Thanks

Re: Car dies when driving

Check the wire from the starter that feeds the fuse block, if it's corroded through it will cause intermittent electrical problems. This one wire feeds 95% of the electrical system in the car.
