What's up guys I got a 91 trans am with a 350 tpi. I'm having a weird problem I drove the car to work and everything was running perfect no ses light or nothing. When I got out of work the car started then died immediately. The ses light came on and would run terrible. It would backfire pop. I replaced the tps connector and the tps itself. Changed nothing. If I hold the tps connector a little bit out of the sensor itself the idle drops back to normal. Randomly it started to run I drove it the ses light turned off and it ran per5rfect again. One thing I forgot to mention is when I tried to jump the aldl part I could not get the car to go into diagnostic mode. So I could not check why the ses light was on? Any help would be great I hate that I can't rely on it to drive good all the time thanks.

 

Gotta get the codes somehow and start there..

 

It would help to know what code the car is setting

 

I know next I guess I'll try to buy a code scanner and hopefully it reads them. The jumper always use to work I dont a know what happen.

 

Well I got the ses light to flash my paper clip was not making good connection. Well nothing came up just a code 12 I guess I will have to wait until it happens again. I will post back with what I find when I get the code thanks
