L98 Cylinder heads

Hey guys how's it going?
Blew a head gasket on my 89 5.7. Come to find out, 4 valve guides are cracked. Thinking about switching to aftermarket heads. The car has a small cam in it (unknown specs) AS&M runners, ported intake plenum and base, and short tube headers.

Found a set of SBC "Power Pack heads.
60cc chambers
1.72 intake valves
And 1.5 exhaust valves
Casting # 3795896

Would these work? On and L98

Re: L98 Cylinder heads

Yes and no. Yes, with some modification to the manifold center bolt holes. No, they are old 60's lo-po heads that unless really reworked will kill any performance and may not have the front accessory holes for your alternator and a/c brackets. Stay away from them. Why don't you have the guides replaced in your heads?

That's what I ended up doing. Having the guides replaced. Thanks for the info though
