AS&M large tube runners

Hey everyone just a quick question. I have an 89 Iroc 5.7, car has a mild can and headers already. Thinking about ordering a set of AS&M runners. The intake is bone stock.do I have to have the plenum ported to match the new runners? If I don't what are some of the down falls of not having it done?

You should port that stuff to match . No down falls. Just smaller gainsif you dont. You can remove tons of aluminum out of these . I just did my intake manifold. And I have a mountain of aluminum that was removed. Its easy but time consuming.
