Assuming it's a stock, un-modified, original to the car engine...
1. You should confirm that the rockers you have are not the self-aligning type.
2. You need to elongate the push rod holes in the cylinder heads.
3. You need to check for proper push rod length.
4. Depending on the brand of rockers, there might be other modifications necessary, such as guide plates, screw-in rocker studs, etc.
By the time you finish No. 1 and get to No. 2 above, you'll probably realize that it's probably not worth the time (money) to install them on a stock LB9.

A stock 1986 does not and can not use self-aligning rockers.
If the LB9 has the stock cam there should be no other modifications required. The cam in the LB9 has lifts below 0.400 so anything will help, but don't expect any really noticeable gains in performance. Springs, guides, pushrods, and seals will all be just fine with 1.6:1 rockers - IF the rockers do not have some odd geometry.
I put Cranes on my '86 with no other changes.

Those are not the right rockers for a stock 86. I did put on a set of 1.6 rockers on my peanut cam 88 and they bolted up with no mods or clearance issues.

IMO, it's best to physically check to determine what type of rockers (self vs. non aligning) should be used. The heads could have been swapped. Also, who's to say that previous repairs/modifications were done correctly?
Another example: The engine in my '87 has heads that were cast on October 16th and 20th, 1986. The engine is original to the car. It's a roller cam engine and does not have self aligning rockers.
