degreeing a lt1 cam

ok i'm getting a lt1 cam and would like to know what people have had good luck with on degreeing it at. straight up, a little advance, or a little retard?
its going on my 305 that will have ported heads, no 1.6 rockers yet but that would be the next mod i may do to the valvetrain.
i know 1.6 rockers would give me the extra lift that this cam will but for the price i got the cam and springs and more you could only buy rockers for one side
thanks
Andrew
