I just got a 85 z28 with a 305 tpi and I was wondering if this will affect anything

Re: Bent runners

It will effect airflow, not sure of how much. They make "*****" that you run through them to pop those dents out. Try Fleabay under "Runner dent removal"

Re: Bent runners

Okay thanks. Its not bent to much just reminds me of a banged up header so I don't think it will affect it to much

You need to grind down the inner lip before using the ball bearings.

It really makes you wonder how it got dented in the first place. Prolly pissed off the old lady and she took the 5lb hammer to it haha.

Re: Bent runners

They appear to be so thin that even if someone drops their 3/4 ratchet on them from 1 foot high itll dent. They could have gotten damaged in shipping. Or someone, while installing/removing the tubes, moving back and forth from the engine bay and in a hurry, turned around and smacked a tube.
