maf or speed ECU

HI all Im in Australia...:
I have a 305 TPI TH700 in a 1975 model GMH car. I need to buy a new harness for the TPI and have been told to get the HOT ROD Harness for my car,
My Question is ive been told to up grade from a 1989 MAF to a 1990-92 SPEED set up ?
IS this a better system ?
I do want to rebuild the engine at a latter date with some upgrade parts.
I run a TH700 with a 3500 stall and a 3.9 lsd
Any help would be much appreciate

Re: maf or speed ECU

For mild modifications and no tuning ability, probably go with MAF since it can adapt without too much hassle.

If you're able to tune (or have someone who can) then the MAP system may be better in that you dont have the expensive MAF sensor to replace if it goes bad.
