I'm swapping the 305 LB9 out of the 86 Trans Am and installing a 350 L98 from a 1985 or 86 Corvette. I pulled the valve covers from the Corvette engine and found 3 of these metal rings. 2 on one side, 1 on the other. I have no idea what they are or how they wound up in there. Any ideas? I'll sweep through there again with a magnet and a flashlight.
