I own a 1987 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc-Z28 (5.7l / 350cui, L98, automatic) and had some issues in the last time.
Mainly poor idle - in warm condition the engine does vary the rpm between 500-1500.
So I ran a diagnostic today and it showed some issues. Error Codes 44, 32, 22, 21 popped up. Here is a screenshot from the diagnostic tool:
Can anyone point me in the right direction / steps what to do now?
The engine is stock, has 105000 ml's. Only the exhaust is changed to headers without air tube. Also the A.I.R. system is removed (catalytic converter is still there).
Ok - that might help, I assume. I am not that professional in this type of diagnostics.
Does AC in the flow-chart stand for AirConditioning?
What is a test light? (In the chart for Code 21)
Jumper just means I have to connect the two cables (I think this is more of a language-barrierer).
When you get it fixed, take some pics, maybe even video of the car. A thirdgen running around europe must be kinda cool, especially when everything else is Fiat and VW.
Thanks for the Help.
I will Check that. I Just Hope there is No wire fatigue...that would be a pain to repair.
I will keep you up to date.
Yes. The 3rd Gen is quiet rare in germany. Also you See some Firebirds / Trans AM due to the 80s/90s Knight Rider Hype. But the Firebirds (espacially the 5.7l / 350 cui) ist not seen that often.
I found Out one thing that might be a problem.
I have an EGR Valve installed (I Heared some people remove it). I replaced Mine some time ago to try to fix my Error Code 32-Issue.
I recently found out that there should be an EGR Temp Sensor Attached to it...but there is None iny Car...the sensor is Missing and the Wire Just goes to ground (attached to the cars Chassis).
Is there any way to get the Sensor? I looked at Corvette Central but they Have a lead time of at least 3 Weeks (spoke to them via Mail)...Or has someone the Sensor and ist willing to sell IT?
I really Desperate and Just want to get my Car fixed within the necessary Regulation...
This Weekend I'll quickly Change and Check the o2 Sensor...Maybe that is the Problem for the bad exhaust values.
