Code 43

I have recently stated getting CEL on hard acceleration. I've checked the codes and get a 43 code. What are your suggestions as where to start. Car is an 88 5.0 TPI.

Sounds like the forced knock test is failing. Does the engine ping when you do the hard acceleration?

If not the base timing may be off, or you are using fuel with too high of an octane.
