What do I need to swap a 305 tpi MAF to 350 tpi speed density?
My next upgrade will be swapping my 89 305 tpi for a 90-92 350 tpi. I'm specifically looking for a 90-92 because they made slightly more power than the earlier ones, however that means I will be changing from MAF to speed density. Aside from the engine, what do I need for this and is it really any more trouble than swapping MAF to MAF engines?
Also are there any minor upgrades or maintenance that should be done before putting it in?

The performance boost on later TPI engines is largely due to the dual cat exhaust. While the speed density engine management generally runs better, aside from getting rid of the MAF sensor, there's not much there to gain from a swap.
The maf to sd conversion isn't too crazy. You'd need the MAP sensor, knock sensor, computer, prom, and the wiring.

If you really want to change to SD, for whatever reason, seems like the Haltech ECM conversion is a pretty simple way to convert. https://www.haltech.com/

Thanks for the info guys, I'm a little disappointed to hear that I won't be able to get that extra hp from a newer engine but on the bright side now it will be easier to find an engine and easier to swap it in.
