What is a good way to test an ECM?

I have a couple ECMs that have been sitting around and it's been hot/cold/humid/dry but never wet.
I'd like to test them and find one that works for a future project.
What is a good way to test? I do not have a running EFI vehicle at this time.

Thanks

Re: What is a good way to test an ECM?

Find someone with a running vehicle to test them on. Post in the regional section of the forum or send them to a forum member that has the ability to try them out. Bench testing would be pretty complicated and if you were capable of doing it you likely wouldn't need to ask anyone how. It's just power, ground, and I/O. Pull a harness from a junkyard car and wire it up to a scope. But really that's only going to take it so far - to know for sure that it works it has to run an engine.
