Need help with code 43 and overheating.

So I haven’t driven my camaro or posted here in years ... I’ve started to drive it again and it runs great until eventually the temp starts rising to abt 220 deg and then the old check engine light comes on with code 43. Once the engine light comes on, the car starts rapidly overheating. Somehow code 43 and overheating are causing one or the other. I had an extra knock sensor so I put that in to the proper torque and I thought that fixed it but it did not. I haven’t noticed that it happens at any throttle response. I’m getting so frustrated and have checked the other posts fo a problem similar to mine, but haven’t found much mentioning overheating. The car does not overheat till code 43 comes up.... Any ideas you guys might have would be most welcome! I have a 85 305 tpi camaro with headers, slightly aggressive cam, and Bosch gen 3 injectors. I should also mention I have wiring from an 86 and a 87 ecm
