Granatelli MAF
Has anyone swapped out their stock MAF with the Granatelli one. Is it worth it if the stock one is fine? Is their any considerable gain in horsepower that you notice. I don't see how effective it would be unless you modify the stock air intake assembly ?

If you need a replacement maf used Bosch or Delphi has a good reputation.

Re: Granatelli MAF
I went with a Delphi, works good so far and the blue streak from advance auto I tried before did not work at all.

Re: Granatelli MAF
Been using a Granatelli on an LT1 since about 2002-03, works just fine for me; I can't say I ever noticed any difference.

Re: Granatelli MAF
I’ve been looking into this alittle more and thought it just had a idle adjustment.
does it do more than just idle John. I guess not so bad to fool the ecm and add or subtract fueling along the same as tuning. I think I have one I need to dig out of my parts stash and look at .

Re: Granatelli MAF
You know; I honestly have no idea if the MAF did anything at all. I bought and installed it on a mostly stock LT1 at first and added mods over time. (SLP headers, 1LE elbow, duel cats, K&N CAI, Hypertech PP+, etc... ).I've never properly 'tuned' anything so I don't have any quality feedback other than: the Granatelli didn't screw anything up !

Re: Granatelli MAF
I would like to know what the point is on a generally stock car. MAFs are calibrated to send a certain voltage based off a certain air flow. As in, the same sensor could be put in a larger diameter housing and would still function but the voltage readings would mean a different air flow. Resulting in the need for updated MAF tables in the tune.
So what is the gain. I understand if you are going to a bigger diameter MAF and doing your own tune. Is it just better electronics that provide a more resolution? Better assembly that provides finer hysteresis?

Re: Granatelli MAF
I’ll sell you one to experiment with 😆. Looks like adjustment is from 2k up. So maybe 30gps.
