Question about different Felpro intake gaskets

I have a question about the different gaskets. I see a 1204, 1205 Felpro intake gaskets. What exactly is the difference? And when should you use which gaskets? What would I use for my stock 91 tpi? Learning as I go.

Re: Question about different Felpro intake gaskets

The port opening size varies. The 1205 has a larger opening then the 1204. I don't recommend Fel-pro intake gaskets, especially the ones with the Printoseal. They move around.

Get some Victor Reinz (VR) gaskets that have a raised embossed area around the various ports.

It’s funny you say that, I know a lot
of people love Fel-pro. But I bought some Victor Reinz gaskets for my intake runners. And the quality of them was great! And I noticed they had the raise area on them also.

Would you happen to have a part number or source? I can't seem to find them.

This was some time ago as Car Quest was absorbed by Auto Zone (or Advanced?). These are your basic stock replacement gaskets (port size wise):

Re: Question about different Felpro intake gaskets

I'm in the process of installing an Edelbrock intake. Would those fit the ports?

Re: Question about different Felpro intake gaskets

The ports on that gasket measure about 1.25" X 2.0"

Re: Question about different Felpro intake gaskets

I found those gaskets on Autozone's website as well as eBay, but for some reason both of them say that they won't fit my car. Any ideas why, or is their information wrong? Sorry for badgering you on this topic. I just want to make sure I get the correct ones.

Re: Question about different Felpro intake gaskets

Because Vortec heads have the mounting holes in a different location?

Or, stock '92 SBC heads have the four inner bolt holes in a different location?

Re: Question about different Felpro intake gaskets

These are for my '92 T/A with stock heads, not the '91 GTA that has the vortec heads. Sorry for the confusion.
