Would broken coolant temp sender cause my engine to hardly run and not idle?
SubscribeThis is probably a very stupid question. I am very impatient and apparently I destroyed the wire that is grounded to the head along with the actual ‘unit’ (coolant temp thing) while changing my exhaust headers. Not to mention, I messed up the oil tube and the dipstick will not go in. Now the car won’t idle and sounds terrible when it runs. I did remove the plugs on the passenger side for better access. They and their wires are now on correctly and in the correct place. I am no where near a mechanic and just recently started doing stuff to my car so please go easy on me. Thanks

Thanks for the response. I just read that on another forum as well. Now I’m very confused why it runs terribly and can’t idle. I made sure the wires were correct.
When you say wires are you referring to spark plug wire orientation?
