Vortec tpi to EFI

Hey guys,

A few months back I was preparing to start my vortec tpi setup for the first time when I noticed the oil sending unit adaptor keeping the manifold from seating all the way. Rookie mistake and intake is now cracked! Got the car running to get it out of my garage for contractor but never had got the chance to actually drive it. With all the bad talk about the poorly flowing tpi base for vortec as well as the expensive aftermarket high flow runners I decided not to spend another 400 with scoggin dicky. Setup has a crane 2032 cam, ls6 springs, comp cam retainers, 21lb lt1 injectors,0411 pcm, hooker headers, hooker 3” catback, stock vortec heads and stock vortec engine. I just received a edelbrock pro flo XT for vortec heads and would like to know if a 0411 pcm will run this setup without many issues. What size injectors should I run? Or should I stick with the lt1 injectors to get this thing running? Not even sure if it takes factory injectors, their site says Standard injectors or pico. They recommend their larger size injectors but I think that’s for their full system with computer and all. Good thing about this setup is my harness already has LS style connectors for sensors. Any issues I may run into with this setup? Any help is greatly appreciated! I’ll be tearing the tpi setup off in a few weeks to start installing the pro flo.
I have also done research on others not using this setup due to the smaller port sizes, I’m not too worried about that I’m gonna just run it as is and start building my ls1. I’m hoping it will still run better than the tpi setup. Thanks.

It will run fine. Lt1 injectors are fine as long as they are working.

if if takes a ls style throttle you are in good shape

the ports i believe are fine for stock heads and clearly looks like theres room to open up that intake if needed

Just be prepared to do some serious tuning with that setup if you want it to run properly. You may also find that the 21 lb/hr injectors are too small. But if you're planning to go LS later then it may be that the thing runs "good enough" to get by.

thanks for the heads up. That’s the thing I’m worried about as I have no tuning experience. Guess I will have to learn or take it to a good tuner. LS1 is going to machine shop soon, as soon as this thing is running I’m going right to building the ls1.

Even the tpi should have required alot of tune work with the 0411 pcm. I thought lt1 injectors were 24 lbs and you dont have enough cam to max them out imo
