So, I got a TPis Mini Ram that was a display model, picture below, I just need a little help on what I need to get as far as fuel lines. I also need to figure out what side is the intake and which side is the return on the fuel rail. If anyone can pass some information my way, I would be grateful.
Did they drill extra holes in that thing? It kinda looks like a hack job a little...
My fuel rails don't have a port in the front like that. In the back, I have a straight tube cross over going from one side to the other. I'm also running an LT1 style fuel pressure regulator on the driver side rail, with a little custom made bracket to hold it. But on yours, the hole where the regulator is supposed to go appears to have been tapped. The LT1 regulator is a push-in style with an O-ring seal, so my little bracket holds it in place.
Since my application is a 2nd gen, I ended up ditching the TPIS-supplied fuel lines and ran my AN line directly to the rear of the rails. The TPIS fuel lines hook up to the back of the rails and then route under the manifold plenum bringing the connection points to the front of the intake manifold.
What ever path you go down, you'll need a regulator in the system for sure. Though it doesn't matter which rail gets the full fuel pressure from the tank. Both rails see the same pressure.
You just need to put the regulator in between the rail and the fuel tank on the return line side.
Blue block off cap Passenger Side. I guess since it was a display modle. Blue block off cap Driver Side I was thinking this is where a Fuel Pressure Gauge would go. It's plastic though.
Either the rail was modified or it's a very early production of the design. The seller didn't mention how long he had it so I wouldn't know what an ealy design would look like, or if they have always looked like they do now on the website.
@ULTM8Z Then again, looking at the TPiS website on the Fuel Rails for the Camaro, there is not much difference. I'm adding more pictures of the back of the rails. I don't think it was a hack job, I really do think these are an early design.
Passenger Side Back different angle. Here is where I don't think this is a hack job and it's an early version. Look at the angle cut on the rail. No indication that a hole was there to attach the tube straight across like on yours.
They look pretty solid to me, and since your rails are for a vette, I don't think I'll need them. Thanks for the information and offer. I'll just look at getting braided Fuel Lines to run to the stock location to the front original location of the fuel lines.
Anyone know of a good place that makes braided lines?

I got mine from Aeroquip. They're braided Teflon. Braided rubber lines can bleed vapors and stink up the garage.
