Replacement Charcoal canister Alternative?

Would this canister from the Allante/ Fleetwood be a good fit for 3rd Gen 88-92 TPI? Since Ac Delco 215-613 is discontinued. These canisters are more available and have the built in solenoid. Would this be plug and play?

You can rebuild them... super easy... for the price of some fish-aquarium filter activated charcoal from the local pet store.

What you pictured looks like it's fundamentally the same. Give it a shot

One thing to watch for is the solenoid operation. GM used both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) solenoids. Can tell by seeing if it passes air during key-off (or off the car). A NO solenoid will allow air to pass while an NC won't.

Mix the two up and the purge cycle won't work.

So Cobrakai, did this canister work. i just connected a bunch of lines, incorrectly, and my canister exploded. Cant even rebuild like ULTM8Z pointed out.
