Burnt end on fuel pump
Hey thirdgen, got a question, I have an 86 camaro I pulled the pump, and one end was burnt. I'm guessing that's why it stopped, how does this happen ? Do I have a bad ground I need to replace or is it just wear on the pump ?

Take a picture so we can see the damage. Electrical burning is caused by a few things and can be as simple as a poor connection. I certainly wouldn't want a short near fuel, yikes.

I did run 12 volts straight from the battery to test it with the ground as well, so maybe that did it ? Also i just checked and cleaned all the engine grounds so hopefully that helped 😅

Just looked at old connector for fuel pump and it was the power side that burnt
