Re: Gaskets for ported runners?
Mr gasket 146 or tpis has large tube gaskets. If siamese make your own.
stock runners get felpro or mr gasket 145.if you don’t have larger than stock ltr I wouldn’t waste your time.

if you have stock runners don't waste your time, the walls are too thin.

Re: Gaskets for ported runners?
Vinny is correct - There is little chance of enlarging the stock runners, but the transitions can be improved. About a quarter century ago I port-matched the runners to the plenum and base on mine. The plenum was off so that the injectors could be removed for cleaning. I used Fel-Pro stock design (fiber/metal core) gaskets and carefully trimmed them using a die and punch.

Re: Gaskets for ported runners?
Has anyone here on TGO tried the steel ball method, for "porting" the runners? Is it as much of a "joke" as it seems it might be?

yes they turn out well I have done 39mm inner diameter

accel cast runners are less than 37mm inner diameter and where documented to flow 240 cfm and believe when extrude honed where 275cfm

Re: Gaskets for ported runners?
Thanks! I didn't know if that was a real, viable thing, but interesting to hear that it works.
