TPI Base porting

Is anyone out there still doing this? Forgive my ignorance, but these flow figures being talked about here are bonkers, would love to get in on that.

The YouTube channel posted above is from Charles Servedio Cylinder Head Porting & Flowbench. A member here has commissioned him to make the most out of some Dart Iron Eagles and various bases and runners.

Re: TPI Base porting

Ive said it a couple times already and I will say it again, IF you are keeping long tube runners, I personally don't see any reason to upgrade the base. At all. A good port job on the stock base with outflow an out of the box aftermarket.... I'd have it done where someone uses a pitot tube to check the airspeeds and that will produce a pretty damn good base capable of flowing 260 or so cfm THROUGH THE VALVE! Not just the base alone, but the base bolted on to the heads! This is no joke. 260cfm is enough for 500+ hp with RPM, prob 375hp-425hp with TPI. They maybe even can go more with a different head.

I have a TPIS BM which is basically an Edelbrock Hi Flo deal and the runner diameters are pretty damn big in some spots for a runner thats only 1.6" and a ported stocker kicked its ***. Super Ram cars I would step up to a bigger base if you are stepping up on cubes, but 350/355 cars with a super ram and ported stock base will still make good power.

Charlie will probably port it if you send him a message. He's not bad on price either and he has a flowbench and pitot tube to do it better than most. He's ported all kinds of stuff over the years too.
